On Tuesday, a widow of the late Warrant Officer Thulani Ngwabe was arrested by the Hawks following a thorough investigation which linked the wife as a prime suspect.
The deceased was murdered in cold blooded fashion through multiple stab wounds. when his body was found lying at the railway lines near Pet Shepstone Beach on November 3. He was stationed at Margate Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
Nonkululeko Ngwabe 44, appeared in Port Shepstone Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
Hawks Spokesperson Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo said "The Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation team was handed the case docket for further investigation which led to the arrest of the deceased's wife, Nonkululeko, on Tuesday".
Mhlongo believes that the widow is not the only suspected who is involved in the brutal killing of her husband, more arrests are yet to come.
However, Nonkululeko will appear in court again on December 19 and will be charged for murder.
