Leicester City recorded a Premier League history by thrashing struggling Southampton 9-0 at their home ground St Marys on Friday night.
The Foxes who are managed by Brendan Rodgers, are playing their best football in 2019/20 campaign and they have registered the biggest away victory which was the record held by Manchester United in 1999.
The team is not shy to surprise the world of football. They have been a better contender since their first PL trophy under manager Claudio Ranieri in 2015/16 campaign. Despite struggling following the sacking of Ranieri, they have emerged to be the best side in English football today.
City is now contending for the top 4 spot if not the league title against the league champions Manchester City, London clubs Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC who are just playing better as them.
Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United are far from reaching the top 4 after gameweek 9. Spurs seek to gain their momentum as they are facing the log leaders, Liverpool, on Sunday evening.
By the season Leicester won the league, they had 19 points secured after 10 PL games compared to the 20 points they have secured at the start of the 2019/20 season.
These are good signs that history can be repeated, however, it will take log leaders Liverpool FC to sink their best form in order to clinch the title.
