26 October marks 5 years since the passing of former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa and justice is still missing in finding his killer.
His mother Ntombifuthi Meyiwa is dealing with a lot of heartaches issues including mourning her late husband Sam Meyiwa and father of the slain goalkeeper (Senzo) who passed away about 3 months ago.
Sam has been seeking if not begging for justice for years, and fought till his last breathe on earth trying to find the killer of his son. His stress may have led to the second stroke that ended his life after suffering the first stroke last year August.
The former Bafana Bafana captian was gunned down in Volsoorus, east of Johannesburg, in the presence of his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, her mother, Ntombi, sister Zandi, Zandi’s boyfriend, Longwe Twala, his friends Mthokozisi Twala and Tumelo Madlala, and their son who was four years old at the time.
The case seems to be falling apart. Advocate Andrew Chauke felt pity for the grieving mom and he promised that he has made recommendations to the SAPS for the removal of the old team of investigators and the need to appoint a new team in order to get justice for Senzo.
